Thank you for visiting my website.
It has been a busy and productive first year in the State Senate. I
am pleased to tell you that we kept our promises and governed like
we said we would during the 2010 campaign. And when you compare the
job we did versus the mess in our nation’s capitol, the difference
is truly striking.
While Washington D.C. has overspent itself deeper
into the abyss, Arizona has a real balanced budget, without the gimmicks
that were used in the past.
While it has been nearly three years since
the United States Senate has even passed a budget, we got our work
done in 100 days, just like we were supposed to.
We made the difficult choices and cuts needed while protecting priorities like
law enforcement and our schools. We passed a Jobs Bill to let employers
around the country know that Arizona was open for business. We passed
public pension reform to protect both the taxpayers and workers,
and we did so without the mayhem we witnessed in Wisconsin.
There
will always be more to do and we always welcome good ideas.
